I was introduced to country music many years ago by a good friend, and my daughter also caught the bug and loved the music as much as we did.

Transatlantic excitement
Everyone has their 15 minutes of high drama and this was mine. On the hottest day on record for a long time, following my first (well second I suppose) transatlantic flight on a British Airways 747, and after circling Heathrow for 45 minutes because the tarmac had softened too much in the heat, I safely landed only to have an engine explode on the shuttle back to East Midlands.
